Aged 51, Mr. Davies holds a BSc. Engineering degree from City University, London and has over 35 years experience in the airline industry.  He has attended the advanced management program at Harvard Business School.  He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.

He has held senior positions in major airlines including Chief Engineer Aircraft Maintenance for British Airways, Engineering Director for British Caledonian Airways, Senior General Manager Gatwick for British Airways and Group Technical Director and Operations Director for Air Europe.

Prior to his appointment as Managing Director of Kenya Airways, Mr. Davies worked as an independent aviation consultant.
